THE ALL CITY MISSION

Let’s face it, anyone can step on the scene and roll out a mag. Anyone can throw some gear together and hand it out. Why All City? What’s our motive? What’s our “why?”

Our team has been involved in youth athletics for a while. Some for a few decades, some a few years. Our kids have been involved in youth programs since they were little ones. We’ve witnessed firsthand the grind they’ve put themselves through to achieve their athletic goals. We empathize, but also see a void in this space that we can play a role in.

Kids are working harder than ever in the sports universe. They’re juggling private lessons, games, travel, and practice all while dealing with the pressures of being a student athlete and all that comes with it. Truth be told, they deserve recognition, and not just from Old Heads like us, but from their peers. That’s what we’re here to do, to be a platform for young athletes to not only be recognized, but to flex their writing muscles and spotlight their peers that are putting in work.

We want to continue to evolve and mix up topics but also keep it fun! The Drip Report spotlights an athlete that has style and enjoys putting fits together. We have Most Inspirational which ties family together and highlights that. There’s Coach’s Corner that elevates the incredible coaches in the Valley and recognizes them for their work in the community. This issue, we just came out with the Citizenship Award that honors Anabell Delgado and her incredible impact in the community and honors another student that shares that same community spirit. There’s A Mother’s Perspective where we have the unsung heroes, the Sports Mom sound off and share her insight and experience raising an athlete. We just added 3 in the Key, a “quick hit” article that shows love to a young athlete and asks 3 questions about their love of the game. We’ll keep it fresh and we will listen to you, the audience, when it comes to platforming these kids.

So what’s our Mission? Well, our slogan is “Putting Southern Oregon’s Young Athletes on the Map!” and that’s really it. Our mission is to elevate young athletes. It’s all about them. Our team comes from different backgrounds personally and professionally and honestly, none of that matters as long as the kids feel like this Mag is for them!

Seriously, we want these kids to feel like a million bucks when they see their face in this Mag. We want families to ask for extra copies to give to family because their kid made All City. We know what it’s going to take to get there: Trust, selflessness, hard work, and transparency. We’re willing to put in the work to do that because your kids are already putting in the work that earns that type of recognition. Let’s keep moving the ball upcourt and see where this thing takes us!
